This is by far the cleanest and the most at home atmosphere I have ever experience at a motel, hotel or an Inn. Iva, Tiff. made my stay the best I have ever had. I would recommend to everybody that comes through the Black Hills to make this your STOP!!!!! |

We've stayed here several times and loved it. My favorite is the large suite with two living rooms and two bedrooms. I had my soon to be daughter in law and daughter with me and we made a great family dinner in the suite's homey kitchen. In the morning I was delighted to see a herd of deer just about 4 feet from the back of the suite. Delightfully clean even for a picky person like myself. Iva is friendly and accomdating. |

We are from Scotland! We stayed at the Pines Motel on Saturday 21 August 2010, and were accommodated in the cottage which was quaint but very comfortable. Iva made us very welcome. |

We just stayed at The Pines (July 17th, 2010). Everyone in my group thought that The Pines was the best! Our room was fantastically clean, cozy and quiet. Everything seemed new! The grounds are well kept, and the wildlife was amazing! All the pictures on the website are a most accurate sampling of the motel. We will most definately be back whenever we find ourselves in Newcastle Wyoming!
Thanks Iva! Your hospitality is second to none!! |

I recently stayed at the hotel and it was a great experience. Friendly service, Quiet place, and amazing suroundings. I would recomend staying in the suite if you get a chance just so you can really stretch out and enjoy yourself. |

We stayed at the Pines in 2003 in the suite. It was so homey and wonderful! We've never forgotten that place. Now that we're heading to the west again, I've booked that same suite. My kids remember it well and loved it, too. They're older teenagers now and are excited to go back to their motel. |

I just LOVED this place!! Wonderful rooms, a wonderful owner (who is not only friendly but just a treat to be around!) and a prime location to boot! Up in the trees, away from the buzz of main street and the train. Absolutely recomended! |

The reviews are so true, I found the Pines on the internet and it is what they advertise. There are all sizes of rooms at different prices, something for everyone and every budget. The price is execllent the occomodations exceptional! The motel is what you see on the web. Updated photos- no surprises! Mrs. Carter seems to enjoy her business and her guests are treated so well. Again, thank you for the wonderful stay; I will return with friends in tow... |

I have stayed at The Pines three times now and love it each time. Some places attempt to make a motel "homey" but the result looks cheap. These folks get it right!
The community also has several nice restaurants. The wait staff at the diner downtown were very pleasant and helpful.
I will plan to stay at the Pines anytime I am in Newcastle. |

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend on the way to Mt. Rushmore. It was a very clean, cozy place to spend a night. The owner was there to greet us and check us in to our room when we arrived and it really did feel like we were 'staying at Grandmas'. I would recommend this place to anyone. We didn't have a chance to enjoy the hot tub on site but maybe next time |
